Our Story
Glorious Gangsta® was founded in 2008 by two friends from South East London – Simeon and Humphrey. Growing up, they were heavily influenced by music culture and urban streetwear. As young creatives, they were drawn to brands that represented their lifestyle but found the selection lacking.
So they decided to take matters into their own hands. Simeon and Humphrey began designing clothes that reflected their own tastes and sensibilities. The result was an urban streetwear brand like no other – bold, rebellious, authentic, and bursting with attitude.
The name Glorious Gangsta® was inspired by the duality of gangsta rap music. While often portrayed as hardcore and dangerous, the reality is that hip hop culture can also represent honor, family, and righteousness. Simeon and Humphrey wanted to celebrate the “glorious” side of hip hop with their clothing line.
In the early days, Simeon and Humphrey worked out of a small studio in Deptford, pushing their DIY aesthetic. They invested everything into their creative vision – designing, printing, distressing, and sewing each item by hand in limited runs. Their ambition and perseverance soon paid off.
Glorious Gangsta Goes Global
Fuelled by passion and driven by design, Glorious Gangsta® quickly gained a cult following. The brand’s authenticity and high-quality construction earned respect across the growing UK urbanwear scene.
Within a few years, Simeon and Humphrey had opened their first retail store in North London. Next came distribution deals with reputable retailers like JD Sports, USC, and Footasylum. Glorious Gangsta® was now being stocked across the UK, Europe, and as far as Australia.
But the brand’s founders never compromised their vision. As Glorious Gangsta® grew, Simeon and Humphrey focused on keeping their independent spirit. All design and production remained in-house to maintain quality control. The brand steadily built an international fanbase of people who shared their values.
Today, Glorious Gangsta® ships to customers worldwide. But our roots remain firmly in London’s vibrant and diverse culture. We strive to keep our independent ethos even as we grow. The UK will always be the heart and soul of Glorious Gangsta®.

We source from some of the finest mills in the world to ensure our fabrics meet expectations for quality. Then we cut and sew each garment with masterful attention to detail. All pieces are lovingly finished by hand in our UK production house.
